FULL GUIDELINES AND DESCRIPTION
Agenzija Sapport - Open Call for an illustrator
Open call for an illustrator to help create an extensive series of instructional images for an EU-wide publication on sexual health and best practices, led by Agenzija Sapport. If selected for EU funds, the assignment will cover a period of around 3 years and the number of images created during this time might amount to the thousands. Given the sensitive nature of the assignment’s subject, the MCOI is on the lookout for illustrators whose work satisfies the following criteria:
ability to produce realistic / anatomically correct illustrations;
ability to deliver illustrations that are sequential, through the use of basic narrative and storyboards;
ability to deliver direct, clean, uncomplicated work that clearly communicates an action or instruction;
ability to communicate even culturally-sensitive or sexually-explicit (but non-pornographic) content;
ability to work digitally and easily edit drawings, especially due to the large quantity of illustrations required;
is comfortable working in a team that includes a designer, copy writer and content director;
is comfortable receiving critical feedback and revising work accordingly.
If interested, please submit a portfolio with relevant work to maltaillustrators@gmail.com, using the subject ‘Agenzija Sapport - Open Call’. The deadline for submitting work is Wednesday 18th February at 11:59pm.
If selected, chosen candidates will be asked to submit their interpretation of a short brief based on the actual assignment, together with an indicative price-per-image that will be due by Wednesday 25th February at 11:59pm.
Please note that the execution of this project is pending on eligibilty for EU financing.
The intellectual property rights for outputs created in Erasmus+ KA2 projects remain with the project beneficiaries (the partner organisations), but the EU requires that all educational materials produced with Erasmus+ funding be made openly available under an open licence. This means partners keep ownership, but they must grant the public free access and reuse rights.
Maze & Landscape Visualisation
Adrian Fisher Design, a Malta-based world-leading maze and labyrinth design studio, is looking for illustrators to create artist impressions of garden and hedge mazes for international projects.
The work involves producing conceptual, pre-construction visuals that help clients understand the experience of a maze before it is built. Illustrations may include eye-level or semi-isometric views of entrances, inner rooms and goal areas, as well as plan or bird’s-eye views showing overall layout and atmosphere.
Illustrators will work from 2D maze designs, site plans, landscape/topography information, reference photos and a written brief, not from finished photography.
This is paid work, with potential for ongoing collaboration on future projects. We are looking to connect with illustrators as soon as possible for current commissions.
Interested illustrators should get in touch with Rebecca at rebecca@adrianfisherdesign.com with:
